My gosh this was delicious. Such a nice burger and can be made to order on your own likes and dislikes.
I’m partial to burgers and always have some sort of craving for one. This one I made and served over rice but we also have had it served on a bun. Topped with a bit of sauce it is fantastic.
RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2 Lbs. Ground Pork
1 Egg
2 Onion, Sliced
3 Cups Fresh Sliced Mushrooms
2-3 Slices Of Bread Soaked In Milk
1 Clove Garlic, Minced
3-4 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
1 Teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning
1 Box Chicken Broth, Approx. 3 Cups
4 Tablespoons Cornstarch, Additional If Needed
Salt And Pepper
PREPARATION
Into a bowl place milk, bread and seasonings. Let the bread absorb the milk.
Into another bowl mix the ground pork with egg, minced garlic, some additional Montreal steak seasoning, salt and pepper. If you would like you may also add some extra chopped onion, parsley, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce.
Take the soaked bread and squeeze out some of the milk, now combining it with the meat. Add the seasonings, mix well and shape into patties. Brown both sides of the patty in a little hot olive oil.
Place sliced onions and mushrooms on the bottom of the slow cooker and place the patties on top. Add chicken broth and cook on the low setting for approx. 5 hours. When the patties are cooked remove from the pot, set aside. Mix cornstarch and water then pouring it into the pot with the onions and mushrooms, stirring a bit until it thickens. Place the patties back, cover for additional 10 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or even in a bun.
ENJOY!!!
