THE BEST FISH AND ITS ON THIS SIDE OF THE POND

IMG_9563Yes you do see rice with the fish and it was delicious.  We’ve been eating too many potatoes so we decided to have this yummy rice.

Though the rice wasn’t the star of the show.  The fish was out of this world.  When I think that everyone pays big dollars for this kind meal in a restaurant, it is unbelievable that they charge so much when it is so simple to make.  Give it try.  You will be eating this more often and enjoying it a whole lot more knowing it costs much less.

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1/2 Cup Flour

1/4 Cup Cornstarch

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Cup Water, Plus More If Needed

PREPARATION

IMG_9539Mix all the dry ingredients.

IMG_9543Followed by adding the water.  If the batter is thick, continue adding more water, a little at a time, until you have a runny batter but one that will stick to the fish.

Drop the coated fish into the hot oil very quickly and fry at a medium to a medium low heat (depending on your stove) until golden in colour.  Place on paper towels when removed from the oil for a minute or two.

Serve IMMEDIATELY.   This is sssssooooo good.
