A CELEBRATION FOR THE ROYAL WEDDING – THE KETO WAY

A wedding breakfast plate consisted of Tomahawk Steak, Prime Rib Steak, Bacon, Sliced Tomatoes, Sliced Cucumbers, A Variety of Finger Food, Eggs (made as requested).

Everyone was preparing to watch the royal wedding.  So when we decided to do something, I thought it would be so much fun to have our son and daughter-in-law over to watch it with us.  Here in Canada the festivities started at 4 a.m.  Yes 4 a.m.  So the day before was prep time for some of the food we were going to have.   3 out of 4 people were on the Keto diet .  A very easy menu for me to come up with since I was one of the 4 people.  A friend of mine reminded me of some of the appetizers in my blog and the light went off.  I had my menu and the other meat was in the freezer, so I started to prepare.  My daughter-in-law makes FANTASTIC Keto dishes so, said she would bring doughnuts for dessert.  Which by the way were delicious, so much so that they gone before we had a chance to take pictures and we had them with morning coffee.  We couldn’t wait until dessert time.  Everything started to come together.  Though we weren’t dressed up fancy and there were no hats, everyone has to remember it was 4 a.m. when all this started to happen, a little early for a dress up party.  Though our son did wear a tie and a jacket over his tee shirt.  It was really funny, and part way through the wedding ceremony, he gave himself a title, “Lord Mark”.  He had us in stitches. It was a fun morning.

Here were the appetizers we had.  All these recipes are in my blog.

It was a morning that made history for the Royal family.  For us it was a fun time together, making good memories that hopefully we’ll remember.  The Mayor and I thank Mark and Sarah for spending it with us and for making it so much fun.  Not to mention for the help that morning in cooking the food, setting it up and helping clean everything up.  We love you!
