FOR SALE-THIS FARMHOUSE TOTE-$45.00
This wooden tote is so handy to have. It started out as just a plain wooden tote. Blonde wood, no colour, stain, or stencil. When I wanted to attempt a different project I decided to try and do a tote of which I was seeing a lot of in the different blogs. Not wanting to build it from scratch I purchased one at a local thrift shop. But as you know it is never that simple. When I started out I wanted to paint it, dry brush and polycrylic it. I NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER end up with what I started out with in my mind. After sanding it I was thinking I wanted a different look. Having a lot of painted furniture and decor I decided to just have a plain stained wooden tote
After sanding it, I applied 2 coats of Minwax special walnut stain, So easy to apply, when all was dry I applied my favourite stencil styles. After the stencil dried I applied about 3-4 coats of Mineral Fusion Top Coat for added durability.

The little tote with the large one was created the same way but a totally different stencil was applied. They look really good separately or together. Right now the larger one is filled with books. The little one has candles in it. I had just seen a good idea. We went for lunch and the server placed one on our table with all the condiments in it; Looked great. One idea I will be trying along with placing cutlery and napkins in one
