YET ANOTHER TRAY

IMG_4317

This tray was out of necessity.  Having purchased new black stainless steel appliances, I was in need of a new tray.  I like to de-clutter by putting things into a tray, also making it easier to tidy up when necessary.

This tray was purchased at a local thrift store so it has been re-purposed.  I get so anxious to get things done that I forget to take before pictures  when in the process of redoing them.  First, I sanded then I put a couple of layers of BIN Zinsser on it.  When all was dry two coats of Rustoleum Charcoal paint was applied, topped with a layer of Rustoleum White Linen paint by dry brushing.  Adding one of my favorite stencils is always something that adds some character and interest to a piece.  To add durability Minwax 3X Polyurethane was applied.

There you have it.  Something new from something old.
