A GUY IN THE RAIN, A GIRL IN THE RAIN

I do a lot of painting and it is difficult to choose one that you can really say is a favourite.

Once I finished these watercolours I knew that I loved them and they became my favourites.  At times painting is difficult for me to do and in the process there are times I’d like to give up.  I could see right from the start with these two paintings that I loved them.  They were purely done as a challenge for myself.  There are so many things for me to learn in painting. Since I am not taking lessons, it is a challenge.  I try to pick up different techniques on my own or even come up with them on my own.  Maybe in reality it is not an artistic technique but if it works for me, does it really matter? It can be frustrating most of the time but if all works out well, it is very rewarding.

Done in watercolours on artboard.
