When I first started the Keto Diet, I thought it would be hard to do. To completely eliminate my carbs was going to be a bit of a challenge. Once I make up my mind and after a week I was on my way. Now, into my 11th week it is not a problem anymore and I’m enjoying it. I can have what I always wouldn’t allow myself to have before, without any guilt. When eating out I eliminate the carbs, like potatoes, bread and rice with extra veggies, avocados, or even extra meat.
Restaurants are usually pretty accommodating and there is always something I can get to subsitute. Just recently we at one restaurant that had a rice bowl with tuna which sounded really good. So when the waitress came to take the order I asked if the rice could be replaced with steamed or fried vegetables. She said yes so that’s what I had. It was delicious. Or I could have ordered more tuna. There is always something to substitute.
RECIPE
There is not much of a recipe to photograph here. I just cut an iceburg lettuce into 1/3’s and placed a cooked hamburger on top of one slice and started to assemble.
HAMBURGER, CHEESE, FRIED ONIONS AND HOT PEPPERS, TOMATO, AVOCADO, MAYO, MUSTARD AND PICKLES ON THE SIDE. Top it off with the top of the lettuce. Really, really good.
ENJOY!
LOL! That is huge and juicy and carb free!!! yeah! I have enough carbs on my thighs! Thanks for sharing on #HomeMattersParty
