This abstract was such fun and to do. I wanted something different but not over the top. In all the reading and searching I’ve done I have not come across anyone that has painted an abstract with chalk paint. I wanted to try this because I have an over abundance of chalk paint in various colours. What colours I do not have, I create a custom colour which is always so much fun.
As I was writing this I had decided that maybe I should give my pieces names. I asked my grandson Jackson and he thought it was a good idea. So with his help he named this piece “Rain In The Mountains. It is wonderful to have our little ones help. It is a memory created that will last a lifetime for you both.
I love the way this piece turned out. The colours and the design. It looks gorgeous in any place that I put it and now reminds me of my sweet little grandson, Jackson.
Very aptly named by your Grandson, it really does look like rain the mountains. It’s great that you used Chalk paint to do the abstract, did you wax it afterwards?

Baba this one is my favorite. I love the colors and the symmetry of it. And your grandson is a genius because it really does look like mountains.

oh Mary thank you I’m so glad to hear these comments. It’s giving me confidence which I don’t have when it comes to painting. Or any kind or art.
