The Angels

img_7180Well I still maintain I have no artistic ability.  So where the abstracts that I have done have come from I’m not quite sure.

To look at them they look so easy but listen up everyone, they are not if your like me.  Some of these abstracts look as if they were done by children but believe me when I say, that doesn’t make them any easier to do.  I spend a lot of time in research, looking at colours, shapes, size and technique.  Right now they are all difficult because I have no idea as to what I am doing.  I can’t tell how many times I have started a painting and to my eye it doesn’t seem to come together.  So I just start painting on top of it and keep going until something clicks and there it is.

I am by no means a trained artist or painter but some of the paintings that I have done, I like.  I feel I can pat myself on the back because I have never done anything in my life like this before.  Right now it doesn’t matter to me whether it looks professional, it just matters that I tried and guess what, it turned out.  I accomplished something I thought I could never do, I had a lot of fun doing it and I feel glad I tried something new in life.

I hope other people like them as much as I do and I hope that I have encouraged someone to try this new found hobby of mine.  Please let me know what you think.

I’m not trying to be. You know yourself what you can do and what you can’t. Well I know that I’m not artistic because I can’t draw or paint etc. I know that the pieces that I have done really surprise me, I can’t believe I have done them. I really don’t know where they have come from. Even my grandchildren love what I have done and tell me that they are good. I really don’t know where it’s comming from. I just hope that the people that see them enjoy them as much as I love doing them.

This is really awesome! I like the colors you have chosen and the shapes and I think that it is great that you are trying out something new. We never know if we will like something or be any good at it unless we try! Bravo for you!
