Grateful Sign

img_7051I’m really getting addicted to making these signs.

They are so easy to make but just a bit trickier to get some of the things you need.  Like the wood is a challenge and the stencils you can become over burdened with.  But when you find the winning combination, all is right in the world.

This sign was actually a chalkboard.  We were not using it so I decided to redo it.

img_7048I printed the words onto paper, cut  them out and coated each word with chalk on the back.  Then I taped them onto the blackboard…

img_7050I traced them.

img_7051The next step was to paint the letters and finally the last step was to coat all with Minwax.  It was fun seeing the transformation.  Not bad?!

I’ve begun working on my next one.  Will post when finished.

They are so much fun to do and it’s always such a great feeling when you know you made it for yourself with your words.
