I just love the way these candlesticks turned out. They remind me of Restoration Hardware.
They would go with any decor and look good in any room. They were with a box of stuff that the Mayor purchased and he thought I was nuts when I told him I was going to fix them up. After having finished them I don’t think he’ll question my decision again when I say I would like that to refinish that.
I first painted them with a shellac, then 2 coats of ASCP Coco. When the paint dried I applied a coat of Minwax over the entire 2 candlesticks. Next I mixed Rustoleum Linen White with Minwax and dried brushed the candlesticks, leaving me with the finish you see. I am so pleased with the way they look. I am now plotting to do some lamps this way too. They’ll look fantastic.

They look great, so aged and almost like stone! What a great makeover!
