This is something that I have never done and when I attempted it the first time I was not happy with the results so I tried again. As long as you take your time and follow the directions it will be fine.
I first painted the vase with the Modern Masters Acid Block Primer and let it dry. Then followed by one coat of the Modern Masters paint. Letting it dry and then a second coat was applied but this time while it was still wet I sprayed it with the Modern Masters Green Patina. I found that I like the look of it better when it was sprayed. The first time I applied the patina with a brush and I did not like the look. To me it looked blotchy. So taking a chance I reapplied some of the paint then sprayed on the green patina. It came out looking a lot better. When all was set and dried I sprayed a perma coat on it.
I really like the look and maybe next time I will attempt some candlesticks or even a lamp.
I LOVE Modern Master’s kits – it’s like magic watching the patina on surfaces change before your eyes. I agree, spraying the aging solution works better. Your plant pot looks fabulous and it caught my eye at the Talk Of The Town party. Pinning to share 🙂
