I found this wonderful vintage sofa table in Oakville on Caulder Dr.. A lady was moving into a seniors home and had to sell the things she could not take with her.
A wonderful thing to discover that an old piece of furniture still has so much life in it. I was thrilled to find it.
I love painting furniture but the one thing I dislike is the job of stripping and sanding if it has to be done. So my wonderful husband has taken on this task. He doesn’t realize how grateful I am that he does it. With pieces piling up his job is much worse then mine.
This sofa table was stripped and sanded on top, and GF Walnut Gel Stain was applied in 3 separate coats, each coat drying before the next was applied. Then 3 coats of GF Gel Top Coat were applied. Lightly sanding the surface before each coat. I actually did this sanding which was not a lot.
The bottom of this table was lightly sanded then 2 coats ASCP Country Grey was painted on. Next I lightly distressed in places and applied AS clear wax. I was so pleased with how it turned out.
