These slow cookers are great. I love the idea that I load it up and then forgot about it. Not having to do a thing the meal is ready in a few hours. So easy and convenient.
This recipe is another version of the way hamburgers can be cooked and served. A nice change to the regular way of serving them on a bun.
Into a bowl add 2 lbs. of ground beef and add 2 teaspoons of garlic, 1 teaspoon parsley, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 package of onion soup mix, 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 egg. Mix well.
Form into patties. Coat each patty in flour.
Fry until nicely browned.
Place into the slow cooker 2 cans of mushroom soup, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 1/2 cans of water. Give it a good mix and add the hamburger patties and cook on low for 5-6 hours. During last 1/2 hour of cooking add 1/2 cup of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of flour and 2 tablespoons of sour cream. Allow this to cook for 30 minutes and longer if necessary.
Remove hamburgers and serve on mashed potatoes along with the gravy.
