This is a great drink. Your coffee along with a breakfast get me up and go. It even tastes real good. My daughter-in-law told me about it. I’m not sure but I think it came from a recipe that she received with her Ninja blender. I decided to try it and I’m glad I did. Even my husband likes it.
There are times that you are in a hurry in the mornings or don’t feel like cooking or having cereal. This is a nice way to have something and feel satisfied.
I would strongly suggest making a coffee concentrate if you like to taste your coffee. It is very simple to do and will keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.
COFFEE CONCENTRATE
Into a large container place 1/2 lb. of coffee, coarsely ground.
Add 16 cups of water. Cover and let it sit for 8 hours at room temperature.
Through some cheese cloth strain the coffee into a large container, so all your left with is the coffee concentrate. Place into the fridge and it will keep up to 1month. Ready to use and really good. That’s it. Well worth the time to make.
BREAKFAST DRINK
Into a blender add 3/4 cup ice, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of coffee, regular or decaf, chilled, 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter, or even some nutella, 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder, 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 cup almond milk. You can also add 1/4 avocado. It makes the drink creamy. Or just add some kind of cream, 5%, 10%, or whipping cream. The choice is yours.
Blend and serve in a cup or glass.
It is fast and easy, especially if you use the coffee concentrate. Made in just minutes.
