Broccoli fresh from the farm. It’s hudge! I love going straight to the farm to get my produce this time of the year. I could buy everything in site. I keep wandering around the tables deciding what to buy. I’ve been there 3 times this week so we are eating a lot of veggies. Which is a good thing. Now that I have 3 of these sitting in my fridge I have to decide what to do with them. See what I mean by wandering. Well to be honest if you bought two the price came down to $.99 each. I already had 1 left at home, just wait I only paid $.99 for it too, but baked one the other day. This time my first choice is a broccoli salad and my husbands favourite. Super simple to make. Really. I’ve been making this recipe for years. I’ve have no idea where it came from. Here’s the recipe.
Chop your broccoli into small pieces.
Add raisins
Give it a toss to incorporate the raisins
Add salt
Pepper
Sugar, this is optional
Mayonnaise or miracle whip which I usually use but I just didn’t want to run down to my fridge in the basement. Mayonnaise was upstairs so I used it. Just lazy today.
Give it a good stir.
Place in a serving bowl and tah-dah! Your broccoli salad is ready. Serve immediately or refrigerate. You could also make this ahead of time. Just cover and put in the fridge. So simple.
